I find it annoying that I have to login to my web-based email to read the mail. It would be nice if I could somehow tie my account to Windows Mail or Outlook, but right now I don't know of any sites that offer this service for free. Only option seems to be paying 25 bucks a year to get this service which imo is too much money.
Any ideas?

Nevermind, seems like Gmail offers this service for free. Could someone delete this topic for me?

If you use Windows Live Mail or Outlook 2003/2007, then Hotmail will work.
With Windows Live Mail, it will work without installing anything, with Outlook, you will have to add Outlook Connector from MS, which is free. -
I cant seem to use the Windows Mail (vista) with my old hotmail account.
I thought you had to pay for a Hotmail Plus account to be able to use it with outlook -
Windows Mail no long support Web-based (HTTP) e-mail account such as Hotmail in Windows Vista, you have to use Windows Live Mail or Outlook 2003/2007 now.

With Outlook 2003 or 2007, you will need to install the free Microsoft Office Outlook Connector.

Both Windows Live Mail and Outlook 2003/2007 can access your Hotmail for free, no need to subscribe to Hotmail Plus. -
Will windows live mail replace windows mail if i install it?
-
I don't think so.
-
It won't remove Windows Mail, it's a separate program.
I've yet to find a way to uninstall Windows Mail.
Maybe using vLite? I'm not sure. -
Why do you want to uninstall Windows Mail?
-
I don't, I thought maybe flipfire does.

I have too many email programs installed.
