Hi guys. If i use VMware to emule xp to run games that don“t run on Vista, this would not affect the performance of the games?

Assuming you mean emulate, and not Emule (the P2P program), yes, it will ruin performance completely. The CPU performance is not *too* bad (10-20% performance loss, perhaps, if your CPU supports hardware virtualization), but it can't emulate 3d acceleration at all. So you're essentially stuck with software rendering.

running something in a emulation always affect performance but depending on your setup and what games you intend to play it might be negliable

This is the only possible way you could make it any slower to play games on Vista without actually removing ram.
If you want to game, boot into XP. Trying to emulate XP in Vista to play games is akin to cutting off your left leg in order to run faster, thinking the reduced weight will help your speed.
