This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    This "patch" is nothing more than software piracy. Microsoft's FAQ limit their remote desktop ability to certain versions.

    If you want to use the Remote desktop connection, upgrade to a version that has it or if you just want to remote into someones else's computer, use a free application like Logmein, Teamviewer etc(it will be less of a hassle since they are usually easier to setup and these aren't "patches" that will get patched up during the next update cycle/service pack).
