Whatever, I just installed XP Pro. I have Vista to fall back on if they discontinue it. I bet that the CD's will still be easy to find after they discontinue it.
-
If you already have a windows xp you have no problem, the xp will be supported for some time, they will stop selling it for most pcs.
It is like when a car is discontinued, you don't have to trhow it away because of that. -
Adieu XP, welcome Vista
-
Actually, I'm hearing rumors that XP Home will continue on in the lost cost PC market.
-
I actually love Vista over XP. XP for me is old hat now. Yes it's good for old machines but I think that as an overall product it beats XP in all areas.

It was announced at Computex Windows XP has received a reprieve till 2010 for low cost PC's.

AKAJohnDoe Mime with Tourette's
Which makes my prediction of 2012 for Windows 7 all the more probable. I run Vista and have all the older operating systems available (back to Windows V2 and DOS 3.3 - I lost the earlier ones) should I ever want to install one of them.

Low cost PC, in the developing countries?
