These are my many processes running. Yes I know that there are a lot! That's why I need your help to decide which ones to end.
Questions:
1. When I end a process, will it start up again after I reboot? If so, how do I stop this?
2. Are there any good programs to monitor processes and tell me which ones are unnecessary?
Also, sometimes, there are two explorer.exe processes running. I am pretty certain that one of them is a virus or something. However, my McAfee Virus Scan can never detect it. What should I do?
Thanks in advance!

start> run> msconfig. there should be a start up tab and uncheck anything that you know you dont need running

Thanks lokster! Any ideas on any good programs to monitor processes or the explorer.exe problem?

FYI, I downloaded the program Spiff here recommended. It's only 1.6 MB, and it looks sharp. I'm e-mailing it to the person who needed help with their processes.
Also, it looks to me like you have some possibly unnecessary processes running, such as maybe 'Task Scheduler Engine,' 'Snipping Tool' 'Rightmark CPU Clock Utility,' 'Sigmatel Audio system tray application,' etc.
Some of those taking up less memory could go to, but they aren't as effective as the larger ones.
Some of these you might need, though, and I wouldn't know that. So make sure you disable one at a time and make sure there are no negative side effects.
BTW, doesn't the 'Prnt Scrn' key work just as well as the Snipping Tool? -

Some of the programs such as uTorrent (options, preferences, general) have option whether to start on start up. Check other interfaces.
Others, such as Media Center, use msconfig as noted. -
Your physical memory usage is at %66, which mean just a little more than half full. There's no reason to end any of these processes unless they are causing you some type of problem. Stuff that is running is of running for a reason. The only exception is stuff like "quick launchers" and "update checkers". Otherwise there's nothing you've really got running that you should get rid of.
The number of processes you have running is completely irrelevant.
The processes mentioned above (Task Scheduler Engine,' 'Snipping Tool' 'Rightmark CPU Clock Utility,' 'Sigmatel Audio system tray application,' etc.) are all necessary if you want a properly running system (snipping tool is what you used to make the screen shot). -
It seems that you have lots of auto start programs running. So the number of processes is normal.

You Should try going to services.msc also via Run...
The ACTUAL memory hogs can be closed from there..msconfig is only for startup programs.
WARNING: Do not close processes you are not sure of...as it might lead to system instability
