    Hello

I got a friend who's having some laptop issue.

It's HP dv6-t1000 w/ Win 7 64bit. So after he put the computer to sleep for the 1st time it didn't fully turn off, the volume control and fans were still on.
Seeing that it wasn't in sleep mode, he tried to wake it up and that's when issues have been having.

It went through this "memory dump screen" and totally lags out the computer. Then it restarted by it self, and went to the "Windows wasn't shut down properly" and he tried safe mode as well as normal mode but each time it took forever to run through the POST and get to the log in screen. After logging in, it took forever to get to the usable window but then the "memory dump screen" occurred again and it restarts again in a loop.

Does anyone have a similar problem or know of a solution?

    Thanks~!

Put in the windows installation disk and select "repair the OS".

By the way, what GPU does the notebook have?

    Thanks for the fast reply.
His screen looks fine so I didn't think it was a GPU problem but I'll ask.
