    Hello,

I may need to purchase some software for college. I'm not sure if the school I will be going to will provide software to the students. Does anyone recommend any websites or stores (in NYC) that may sell software at discounted rates or give student discounts. I'll need programs like MathCAD, MATLab, Maple, LabVIEW, AutoCAD, Electronics Workbench, MultiSim, MS Project, MS Visio, MS Office, Adobe Photoshop CS. If anyone has any recommendations on others please let me know. I will most likely also need to purchase a compiler for C++. I think Borland makes a good one.

    Thanks for your help.

If these are the s/w packages that will be used at your school, I don't see why they wouldn't offer it. You may want to contact the manufacturers of the s/w, they might be able to give you a list of retailers or even sell the s/w to you at the discounted prices.

I sure hope they offer it but I will check with different manufacturers to see if they offer it at discount prices just in case. I know journeyed.com has some decent prices.. Thanks for your help.
