Your probably safe. If you know she only downloaded a few songs then there is probably nothing to worry about. However I would uninstall limewire and then run ccleaner to remove anything that is left over after the un-install.

Yeah probably nothing to worry about. The mp3's are most likely harmless. I'm not aware of whether Limewire itself installs any spyware, but since Spybot and Ad-aware didn't find anything, it probably doesn't.

Just uninstall it and you should be good to go. :)

Isn't Limewire spyware? Anyway, unless you have any reason not to, I'd system restore to the last relative-free checkpoint :)

Nevermind, just did a quick Google search, & I must've been thinking of something else. I still wouldn't use Limewire though 'coz I wouldn't want to get sued by RIAA... Also, it's too much trouble, searching for every song on the album. Why not just buy it on allofmp3, it's so CHEAP! (Off topic, I saw an interview with allofmp3's lawyer on TV, and that guy's so bad, it's funny =)

If nothing weird is going on you should be fine. If you do find evidence that you have been compromised, the ONLY way to be SURE your system is 100% clean is to do a full reinstall. Unfortunately, malware is so bad now that there is virtually no way you can clean it all out, and be sure there is not more you do not even know about.

Limewire is clean of malware, I'm 100% sure of this. It's the things you download through it that pose a risk.

If you havn't noticed any problems, and your antispyware apps aren't picking up anything, you're probably clean; I wouldn't worry.
