Hi all, one of the first things I did after installing my new w7 was downgrade to media player 11, as I had done with the RC where it worked no worries. However, when I tried to load it up with this version wmp11 was screwy - only showed a couple icons like the back button. I uninstalled and tried reinstalling 11, but now I'm at the point where I get "the file wmplayer.exe has a version number of 12.0.7000.7000 where 11.0.6000.6324 was expected" error when trying to run WMP11. Does anyone know a way of downloading a legit installer of WMP12, or completely uninstall 11? Have already tried system restore but don't have any restore points. TIA.

Why did you even bother doing that to begin with?

I know one of the European versions don't come with WMP12, maybe you could find the installer on MS's site using a different language?

Because I use the mini-player in WMP11 a lot and its not in 12, and I also use the Advanced Tag Editor lots and it too is absent. Thanks for the idea, I'll give it a shot.

as for 12 version tag editor
you could go the album folder that you want to edit and click properties
then go to detail and you could add the tags you want for it
