This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    Erratic Hard drive space

    One day Ill have 4 GBs, the next day without even downloading anything will have 500 mbs. I'm using Google Chrome which I think uses quite a lot of space, but that many? Could it be a virus? I got some infections recently too.

    Do a disk cleanup? I do not go virus at this time with what you have said. But sure it could be many things.

    I am thinking temp files?

    try CC Cleaner which will clean up a lot of the crap temp files if it is that.
