    Dear all,

I've had this problem for I don't how long, and it's driving me totally crazy.
Whenever I try to install anything, I get this message: Error 1935. An error occurred during the installation of assembly component.
Now I have tried to install several games and less important stuff for on my Packard Bell Laptop, but this time it's more serious.
I wanted to upgrade my office 2003 to office 2010. My brother tried it first, and everything went perfectly fine for him.
Now my problem is that I had to uninstall my Office 2003, before I could install Office 2010. After the installation had almost finished, i got this error 1935, and Microsoft Office is very important for my stuff to do.
I know it's very stupid to uninstall Office 2003, because now I don't have any Office anymore.

What I have tried already to solve the problem is google it. I found several answers, but they all said that I have to reboot my computer. I'm not completely sure what rebooting is, but if I'm correct about what I think, it isn't an option for me, because it's like resetting the laptop so all data will be lost. Now I can't do this because i'm not the only one using this laptop, and the other user somehow can't move his files and such to his own laptop (as it was his first).

My question: can anybody tell me how to solve this big problem, without deleting all data, and maybe even without rebooting/resetting?

BTW: I have the Hiren's Boot CD

    Greets,

I think by rebooting, they mean restart the computer.

By the way, what windows version you are using?

    Rebooting means restarting the computer.

I read it, did what was told, but I did get several problems:

    1. With reinstalling Windows Installer: insufficient storage available to process this command ( Download: Windows Installer 3.1 Redistributable - Microsoft Download Center - Download Details)
    2. With re-Installing .Net Framework 2.0, it says that .Net Framework is already on my computer
    3. I went to youtube, typed in how to reinstall windows installer, found this How to fix the Windows Installer & Windows Updates - YouTube video, as i got problems with Windows Update as well, followed the steps and got a message that the requested operation can not be performed.

Anybody got a clue on how to solve these things?
