When my father wants to play his CDs it says that he needs a license, so he downloaded it once he downloaded it says in the background license is ready to play, but then it says that he got an Error 438.
Any help because my dad is a DJ and he has a gig soon.

What program?
-
Windows Media Player
-
Old CD's would be my guess, and the links are no longer valid. That happen to me once with a CD from 2002.

Even old CDs play fine for me. - I think this should be moved out of Off topic too.
PS: Media Player up to date? -
Yeah I think so, I remember looking at a forum that said turn on the ActiveX controls or something.
P.S Sorry for posting in wrong section. -

Is there anyway to fix this?

Is it one of these CDs, by any chance?: http://cp.sonybmg.com/xcp/english/titles.html
If so, there are some guides around for removing the rootkit: http://www.google.com/#hl=en&q=removing+sony+rootkit&fp=jdOYMfF-0fs
