    Hey all....

I'm getting this Pop-Up error message today, I have never seen. It is causing the computer to shut down the programs, and I cannot get a connection to the Net.
    (It shuts down WLM, etc..also)...

I have to restart my lappy in order for things to be per normal again.

Here is what I am getting: (I couldnt do a screen shot, as the screen go's into a black background with this message):

    Microsoft Visual
    RunTime Error
    Program: c:prog\Trendm\Internet\TMproxy.exe
    Abnormal Program Termination

Now, I downloaded WLM Beta earlier today..I just uninstalled that to be safe.

    Please advise, and thanks!

    Cin ;) :)

I would say kill that process and go from there. PCillin is kind of a memory hog and I bet you that it is conflicting with some of the new programs that you installed today or recently.

    Hey Cin',

It's hard to identify what caused the crash of Trend Micro but yeah I guess it could be WLM. There is a way to see that error, probably with more details. Check the Event Viewer->Applications and post the details of the error. What OS are you running?

I've seen that last one multiple times. It's like a virus...that wants you to install it's software so you believe your safe. They're a pain in the butt to get rid of cause sometimes they alter settings so that you can't even find stuff. On my grandma's computer, she had a program like that, and it hid her "desktop, screensaver, and themes", so that you couldn't even change the background, or the screensaver. Both of which depicted a "virus" but crawling around. Had to go through "Group policy editor" to turn those back on.

Alright you need to get rid of Trend Micro for now.
Google Revo Uninstaller, download it and install it.
Launch it, select Trend Micro and hit "uninstall".
    Check 'advanced' and hit next.
    Trend Micro's uninstaller will run.
    When that finishes, hit next.
Select all files it tells you were left over.
    Click 'delete'.
Do this as many times as it ask.

However, I think you have some type of spyware/virus.
Google and download SuperAntispyware and AntiVir Antivirus, both free.
Run scans in both and fix anything needed.

OK on the screenshots I can see "General" Tab, I need the "Details" tab :) When you hit on "Details" it should show you which file has crashed and what caused it and probably some error codes. Make sure you find the right error(TMproxy.exe should be mentioned in the "Details".)

By the way, if you want to, now that you have WLM uninstalled see if the system is ok now and if another error came up do the above :)

About imageshack - this is an ad. I'd run an online scan.

Edit: Nevermind, I'm too slow :D

I think uninstalling Trend Micro would be the biggest step forward. It truly is not that great of a security suite. There are a lot of better individual components out there that as a whole make a good security suite.
