Hi All,
I seem to have a problem with not being able to find my volume Icon on my systems tray and not being able to adjust my volume with my ASUS Hotkey Utility either. I'm on a WinME platform.
Could this be a Virus? Because I've scanned my system and hardware with Ad-Aware, Spy-bot Search and Destroy, McAfee and Trend Micro online Scans.
Dug up a couple of files and had them deleted, One of which was "saap.exe". Re-booted the system a zillion times and still no volume preferences. I'm able to watch videos but I can't hear a thing.
This is problem beyond redemption or is there a way to fix this?
Would appreciate any leads you guys can give me!

I hade the same problem once, is it in the control panel?

It's funny because on my Device Manager (Control Panel), I see my ESS Allegro PCI available for my sound and functioning properly (no conflicts). I even tried updating my driver but it says I have the most updated one available.
It's seriously a lost cause for me with 3 sleepless nights! =( -
