    Hi everyone,

I checked event viewer recently and I'm getting all sorts of strange errors. can anyone help me decipher and fix them? Here they are:

    WARNING: Event 0, AtBroker
The description for Event ID 0 from source AtBroker cannot be found. Either the component that raises this event is not installed on your local computer or the installation is corrupted. You can install or repair the component on the local computer.
Details (event data) - GetSessionValue Failed to Open session key return error 2

    WARNING: Event 4001, WLAN-AutoConfig
WLAN AutoConfig service has successfully stopped.

    ERROR: Event 5007, WerSvc
The target file for the Windows Feedback Platform (a DLL file containing the list of problems on this computer that require additional data collection for diagnosis) could not be parsed. The error code was 8014FFF9.

ERROR: 7000, Service Control Manager Eventlog Provider
The Parallel port driver service failed to start due to the following error:
The service cannot be started, either because it is disabled or because it has no enabled devices associated with it. (this one is weird because my laptop doesn't have a parallel port???? that's the one that connects to very old printers right?)

Finally, does anyone know how I can remove the driver cdr4_xp??? I get this error:
The following boot-start or system-start driver(s) failed to load:
    Cdr4_xp
and I know why i get it... I had to delete the lowerfiters in the registry because this is the driver for roxio and it was preventing my dvdrom from being detected... weird thing is I don't have roxio installed... how do I remove this driver?

    Thanks for helping!!

    WARNING: Event 0, AtBroker
This seems to be related to a Vista update and there is no known fix at the moment that I could find

    WARNING: Event 4001, WLAN-AutoConfig
Are you connected to a a wireless network, or does this occur when you are no where near an access point. If the latter, this is normal

    ERROR: Event 5007, WerSvc

To stop this error, you should uninstall KB 931174.

If the error contines, follow instructions here
    http://www.jimmah.com/vista/Administration/kb931174.aspx

ERROR: 7000, Service Control Manager Eventlog Provider
Pretty sure that this simply means you do not have a parrallel printer port--I wouldn't worry about it

The following boot-start or system-start driver(s) failed to load:
    Cdr4_xp

open regedit and navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\
you will probably find your system driver in here--make a backup of the key and then delete it

My husband just happened to see your thread and wanted to know if you ever did the delete of the Registry Key for "CdR4_xp?" ---

"Event Viewer in Vista shows Error: The following boot-start or system-start driver(s) failed to load: CdrR4_xp"

Solution: Open regedit and navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\
you will probably find your system driver in here--make a backup of the key and then delete it."

And did it stop the "Error=CdR4_xp" from showing in the Event Viewer? If you did, how did you do a 'backup' of the registry key - "CdRr4_xp" in Vista (and all of it's contents)?
My husband would like to add this thread to his information about the CdR4-XP error problem for future reference.

back it up by right clicking the key and choosing EXPORT...save the reg file with a name like cdr4_ex.reg

Reboot. If you don't have any issues, you can delete said key...if you do, double click the file and it will re-insert the key

Are you asking me? If you are, SP1 was already installed when we purchased the Toshiba with Vista.

Our Event Viewer showed several Errors and quite a few Warmings:

Service Control Manager Eventlog Provider (7026)
The following boot-start or system-start driver(s) failed to load. Cdr4_XP
    WMI (10)
    HttpEvent (15016)
    Eventlog (1108)

    Thanks so much.
#1- If I am correct, we should right click on the 'Cdr4_xp' on the Left side of the screen and choose Export. Doing that will also save the files (showing on the Right side of screen), which are contained in the 'Cdr4_xp' file. Is that right?
#2- The 'save' file name can be anything? Could we just use 'Cdr4_xp'? Or does it have to have a '.reg' at the end?
#3- If we ever had to restore it, how would double clicking on it return it to the Registry? Wouldn't it (saved file name) have to have a name with an '.exe' after it? Such as 'Cdr4_xp.exe'?
#4- My husband mentioned that he read somewhere that this file had something to do with a Roxio program and some of it's left-over files (after removal). Is that true? I don't believe there was any Roxio program loaded on this Toshiba when we bought it.
Thanks again and sorry for all the qeustions.
