I am currently working on a publication for a journal, and one of the requirements that it has is that the charts should be black and white. I am using Excel 2007 to assemble the charts (that was probably mistake #1). One of the problems that I am having is that I have a few bar graphs with around 15-20 series, and when I tell Excel to make it black and white it uses these god awful gray scale colors that make it impossible to distinguish between the data sets.
I remember in Office 2003 that the user had the ability to use Pattern Fills for the bar graphs. I've been looking for this feature in 2007, but can't seem to find it. Does anybody know if Office 2007 still supports this, and if not, can anybody recommend a third party solution to use pattern fills in Excel? Thanks!
