There are a number of good reviews on the new ATI control center software (eg anandtech and toms hardware), so I will leave all the nitty grity to them.
What I can say is that I have had no problems so far using this new control panel, works great.
Heres how I got it to work.
1) Downloaded the latest drivers (4.8) from ATI, and the CCC
2) Got .Net thingo from Microsoft and installed that...this was the only downside, abiet minor.
3) used the DH Mod tool V2.0b (http://www.driverheaven.net/patje/)
to mod the drivers, allowing me to instal them on my notebook.
4) once installed I installed the CCC, no modding needed.
Thats it simple!
I had lots of issues running Doom3 with 4.7 from ATI using above mentioned method, but sofar 4.8 with the CCC is as stable as can be.
I really like this new control panel. It was one area that ATI was behind Nvidia in, but now the playing field is level.
Hope this is of interest and use to others!

I used to use the omega's but with the probs I had with doom3 and the omega4.7 I've gone back to ATI's... thanks to the DH tool. I can still instal radlinker without omega, should I need to oc,
And I think the new CCC is a big improvement. Would be interested to see if you can still install this with the omega's?
