So I recently downloaded the RC version of SP2 and while the process was successful, i'm experiencing some things that I didn't when I had SP1.

1st: Firefox is taking a long while to load up now when I try to open it. It also never opens up when I do try to load it until the second try. For example, when I double click Firefox to open the program up, it loads but nothing happens. So then I double click it again to open it up and it loads fine but opens two windows of it. It's also noticeably slower but just by a hair.

2nd: Google Chrome just doesn't work at all anymore. No clue why. I open the program and nothing is display like my favorite speed dial page/homepage. Just a blank webpage. It doesn't even let me go to other websites, it'll just load forever.

3rd: 50% of the time when I boot my computer, I get an error saying that windows explorer failed or something and prompts me to restart explorer. What gives?

All signs are pointing to just system restore back to where I had SP1 but I want to give this a chance so is there anything I could do to solve this? I really appreciate the help!

It's totally normal for people to have issues with the non-finalized service packs. It's totally possible for SP2 to work for some people and make things worse for others. Go ahead, uninstall it.

obviously something's wrong.. so if you want to run sp2, then you'll either have to reinstall sp2 .. and if that doesnt work, you'll have to reformat and install sp2 with a fresh system
