Im having problems with Vista x86
Explorer always stops responding and restarts. I dont loose anything, but still it is pretty annoying.
Say I open up Internet Explorer, it opens up but again explorer stops responding. This doesnt happen all the time but during normal use and stuff it is inevitable.
Why is this happening? I even update Vista regularly.

Thanks I'll use the shell program and see what causes the problems.

I tried what you suggested, but still no help.

Probably because of Flash.
-
can you be more precise please?? -
Flash Plug-ins(like myspace stuff, Youtube & banner ad's) on websites have restarted my IE7 on both XP & Vista at least once or twice a week.
-
im not just talking about restarts
my explorer restarts time to time just working normally -
would u try to note of the number of restarts when u were doing certain things? not so much that the app u were using caused the restart, but it might be in combination with certain background tasks (indexing, av per ex.)
driver up.to.date? sometimes u might have to ignore certain vista updates, i recommend have the updates automatically downloaded but NOT applied - do this manually instead.

everything done........updates are all installed
Explorer always shuts down in Vista
