I get this error whenever i shutdown windows, i don't know why it happens and all i can think of why it's happening is because i added glasstoasts to my startup entries via the startup folder in the startmenu. Can anyone please help me? My computer specs are in my sig.

Hey I got the same kind of problem(Not only with shut down but when running some programs)

I think win explorer can't handle memory addresses sometimes .I chk my RAM sticks with Memtest to ensure my memory controllers are running correctly

Well i can't use Memtest because it needs me to insert a floppy, and i don't have a floppy drive on my computer. But i'd like to ask what an HW component is.

I have XP Pro and have the same thing come up, the only difference is that it comes up right before it shuts off power, and it says memory can not be written.
