    Explorer.exe - 1.6GB RAM Used!!!

    Wow...that was odd.

    I was doing a large copy/paste, and after all was said and done explorer.exe was using 1.6GB of my RAM and the computer was incredibly slow/buggy.

    Even after I cleaned out the clipboard.

    Anyone else noticed this one? Just out of curiosity...?

    Was this looking at the task manager?

    Was this a spike or was it consuming that much memory for a while?

    It was from within the Task Manager, and it was like that for about the 10 minutes it took me to finish what I had to and reboot.

    How big is your file? Never had this problem before on Vista for me.

    Did you ever fully get rid of that facebook virus? If no, that might be a cause of this?

    For one, that was on my desktop. Vista yes, but I have 3GB there. Still sucked though.

    Talk to Tim, he had the facebook virus. ;)
