I've imported my bookmarks from my old pc to the new one, but it didn't import the links. Is there any way to do this, or do I have to manually go to each page and re-create them?

Go to Organise Bookmarks --> Import and Backup --> Export HTML, and then save the HTML (i.e. bookmarks.html) anywhere in the system.

Copy it to the old PC, and same way (in FF) Organise Bookmarks --> Import and Backup --> Import HTML (and select the exported HTML, i.e. bookmarks.html, and all the bookmarks will appear in the Bookmarks menu.)

That's what I did, but for some reason it didn't contain the links. I'll try it again...

I tried it again, and still no links. I also noticed that with this installation of Firefox, I don't even get the option to display links via the View menu like my other installation. Maybe I should reinstall Firefox 3.0??

Open FF/IE, then drag and drop the 'bookmarks.html' file into the browser page. Do the bookmarks come up on the page ?

The bookmarks did import previously. The bookmark toolbar isn't showing the ones that were showing in the old pc.

I tried dragging the file into the browser page, but it didn't help. It just shows all the bookmarks in text form.

Do the bookmarks appear in the Bookmarks menu..??

The Bookmarks toolbar only shows the most visited, getting started, latest headlines, and your own custom-added links. Whatever links are missing, add them manually. The BT is browser specific. You'll find the BT folder from the previous folder, at the end of the imported bookmark list.

Yes, the bookmarks did appear in the menu. I was trying to figure out why the links were no longer showing up in the Bookmarks toolbar. I exported the file from FF 3 on my old laptop. I will just add them manually.

    Thanks for your help Andy.

Yeah, you'll have to add them manually. The BT folder from the previous browser will be at the end of the imported list. :)
