    Just a quick question -

How do I know if my expresscard slot is working ok and has all the correct drivers and whatnot?

Thanks in advance for any advice on this. :)

The express card slot doesn't require any seperate drivers.. Any device you put in would however require drivers... Short of actually putting something in there, i don't think you can check if it's working or not..

Hmmm, ok then. I guess I can rule out the expresscard slot not having the correct drivers then in relation to the ongoing problem I've got with an Avermedia A577 expresscard tv tuner not working in XP (doesn't pick up any channels analog or digital) but working fully in Vista.

Very confusing, I wonder why Avermedia wanted me to setup a remote connection to allow them to look at my system?

Possibly they want to install the correct drivers in XP.

Hah! I doubt it, they've given me all the drivers under the sun to install for XP and for Vista, they're even supplying me with beta drivers now so I can get the tuner working in Vista with an Xbox 360 PAL-60 signal format...

Unless they want to make sure they're intalled properly which kind of seems pointless because if I have to format I'd have to get them to install the drivers again...

Oh well at least I know it's not my system doing it.
