Where can i find a theme that makes Vista almost completely transparent? Like the toolbar on j-dogg's desktop he posted here.

I'm semi-familiar with Vistaglazz, and suspect that I just need to find a "transparent" theme to use in vistaglazz, but I don't know how or where to find such themes...

    Thanks for any help,

    Mac

Have you tried going tinto personalization/windows colour and appearance and turning on 'enable transparency' and the intensity to the left all the way? It works great for me.

Its nothing to do with the theme.

Yes, but it's not enough - not the crystal clear look I was hoping for. I think the crystal clear look is a theme b/c I noticed j-dogg's start menu button is different.

If you have home basic, you won't be able to activate transparency. This feature is exclusive to the Windows Aero visual experience

Yeah, but that still doesn't enable transparency when windows aren't maximized (even w/ Vista Glazz). It does, however, activate the Desktop Window Manager and the Windows Vista Standard theme which improves the user experience by lessening the effects of graphics driver crashes. It also renders the desktop differently, allowing for smoother window movement w/out tearing.

More info about Windows Vista Standard: http://www.winsupersite.com/showcase/winvista_ff_std_ux.asp

It's supposed to be activated only in certain scenarios, such as when a system running Home Basic has Aero capable graphics. Oddly though, many of the preconfigured systems with Basic I've seen have only had the Basic theme, even with a IGP that supports Aero
