I bought a new drive for the kids computer. Made it the master (slaved the original drive) at 08:00 am this morning and more or less finished setting it up about 4 hours later. (os and most of the software)
Now I did not notice that Windows left the original drive as C: and now the system partiton is on F: I never new the master could be another other than C ?? I learned soemthing today . I renamed C: (which is now the slave) to G: (just to avoid confusion of what C: is) but my question is , is there a way to make F: = C: ?
I searched a bit and the short answer I found was No (can do it but there will be issues). I don't feel like spending another 4 or 5 hours installing all the stuff so I will likley leave it like thit.
Unless someone can tell me a full proof way .[]
thx..........dy

Basically No... The only way to accomplish this would be to remove the old C: drive during the installation.
If you install windows to one drive after the installation detects an existing instance of windows, it will read the drive letter assignments from the original installation of windows.
You cannot change the drive letter of the active system partition.
