I tried to switch the monitor using function F4 key to display power point on project - I have done this a million times - this time my lap top would not switch - the usual - turn off monitor one for 2 or view both - nothing happened. any ideas - all other function keys work. Lynn

This may sound trivial, but have you tried restarting your notebook?
If that doesn't work, try and reinstall your hotkey drivers. If that fails, you could do a system restore and restore your notebook back to when the Fn+F4 worked.
