Hi guys
I've got Aimersoft DVD Studio pack, when I install it all my FLV files (100 or so) get flipped so everything is upside down.
I uninstall Aimersoft DVD Studio pack and the problem still persists.
The only way I seem to be able to cure the problem is to use system restore to restore to a point when the FLV files weren't flipped, i.e. before I've installed Aimersoft DVD Studio pack.
Is there anyway of curing this once I've installed Aimersoft DVD Studio pack?
I'm running XP Home if that is relevant.
Thanks in advance for any help/advice![]()

update the codecs.
Go to www.free-codecs.com and get the K-Lite Codec Pack -
Download a new video codec pack, like K-Lite mega codec pack. It should fix it, if not then there should be advanced codec settings .

That's a horrible suggestion. Codec-packs=evil.
Use CCCP ( www.cccp-project.net). Even if the name suggests it, it's not a codec pack, but FFdshow with some splitters and expra tools, allowing you to decode nearly anything. -
It works flawlessly, thats all that matters.

Forgot to mention - I already tried updating the codecs...
I'll give CCCP a go and see what happens. And I'll have a look in the options for FFDshow to see if I can find anything relevant.
Please keep the suggestions coming though, as at the moment the only other solution I have is converting the flv files to avi files before I install Aimersoft DVD Studio pack and that could take a veeeeerrrrry long time -

Hah so much for CCCP - it did nothing. So I re-installed K-Lite, which was on there before I un-installed it to put CCCP on, and hey presto all is good.
Problem was Aimersoft DVD Studio had turned off the "flip video" option on the FFDshow output settings...
Thanks for the advice though guys, it pointed me in the right direction for where to look, much appreciated. -
K-lite wins
. Theres also VLC codecs, if you wanna try that out.

Loads of codecs that can be conflicting, they're no allowed to redistribute some of the content (Like intel Indeo). CCCP= K-lite codec - all the extra crap. What remains is:
* CoreWavPack
* ffdshow (custom build)
* Gabest's FLV Splitter
* Gabest's MPV (MPEG-2) Decoder
* Haali Media Splitter
* Media Player Classic
* VSFilter
* Zoom Player
This means that there won't be several application for every task, meaning that conflicts won't arise (except that there's 2 mediaplayers, but I never install Zoom player as I hate it). Besides, FFDshow is the best Filter for decoding video anyways.
