I just bought Lenovo U330 and it has Face Recognition software. So, I dont need to finger print or type in password to login to my windows.
    So coollllllllllllllllll.

    Now my question is,
Is there any other Face Recognition software that I can download/buy for other notebook?
I want to use the software on my other sony Z laptop.
The IBM Face Recognition software only work on IBM and not other laptop.

I dunno, I think I'd be more worried about the thing not recognizing me first thing in the morning, before I've had a chance to get properly caffeinated and whatnot! :D

IT doesn't. Nowadays, the program is smart enough to distinguish a person from a picture.

i thought i read a something somewhere about how easy it was to get past such software... lost the link.

Up to you. I personally would rather a password.

In my point of view, the password is about as secure as the face recognition software. The face recognition process is more secure than the password, but it still use the password itself to login. Since any windows passwords can be cracked under couple minutes 'automatically", any form of windows password protection is pretty much useless if a malicious person who knows how to obtain the password touches your computer.

Be careful, it will refuse to work if you're too ugly.

I think the Veriface works out of the box with Vista computers..just not sure if it works for x64.

A program I loved (but didn't think about purchasing) is KeyLemon. It's fun, since you could also like change your logon screen themes and stuff, and I think you could enroll more than one face for an account or two (for example kids, girlfriends etc) but yeah, might grab it sometime if I get tired of using VeriFace.

EDIT: One flaw for VeriFace, however, is how sensitive it is. I just shaved (moustache only, not even thick enough) but I needed to re-enroll my face!

I am trying out Veriface now, and the lighting conditions make it so sensitive.

I enrolled my face last night under incandescent lighting.

Today in the daylight, it won't recognize me!
