    Hello, first post here

Am trying to boot my laptop from a bootable USB pen drive to install Windows 8.1, I used the Microsoft made "Windows 7 USB DVD Tool" to copy and format the .iso file to the USB stick, so I assume that the problem is not there.

When I reach my BIOS (pictures included), I know to change the boot priority; though here is my first problem, I have many options in the boot priority menu and am unsure of which it is. In the images I have uploaded I included any page of the BIOS which may be relevant to this problem (sorry I am a noob). There are 3 options with 'USB' in the name as you can see, I've tried them all and cannot seem to get my laptop to boot from the USB.

My laptop is relatively new (2012)- it is the Samsung Series 7 Chronos NP700Z7C, the USB stick am attempting to boot from is the Kingston DT101 G2 16GB.

Specs if needed : Specs - Laptops NP700Z7CH | Samsung PCs

    I have the same laptop.

You have first to put the USB pen in the laptop, then go to this boot menu. You will the than the name of Your USB pen. Put it on the first place, safe and leaf the bios.

The computer will ask you then if You like to boot from the USB pen. You agre wit this if you press any key.

    thanks for your reply,

Can I ask have you ever updated your BIOS? Also, without anything USB devices plugged in, do you have the same options as me in the boot priority?
