I updated to FCU last night, I am missing a lot of my apps in my start menu but when you go into the store they say they are downloaded etc....any ideas how to fix it?

Looks like you're not the only one experiencing this issue after the latest Windoze X update.

I always thought these things were tested in house before being released to the masses.
I wonder how much M$ is paying its user base to be guinea pigs for their shoddy ̶o̶p̶e̶r̶a̶t̶i̶n̶g̶ ̶s̶y̶s̶t̶e̶m̶ service? -

The first thing would've done is backup all your data/files and restore your system to factory install and then upgrade to FCU that way any problems that you had since the last working Windows update wouldn't come along. Your only fix is to take to a shop for them to see what happened in the update or revert the update back assuming you made a backup file when it upgraded. Never upgrade a system that's been heavy used but only to restore to factory or fresh install and reinstall doing upgrades on a continued used system just cascades problem from then to now.Last edited: Oct 18, 2017 -
all my files save to one drive...so back up is not a big deal. I reverted back to CU, and the "restart" button is NOT there for the FCU update now. FFS
