I was wondering what program you all would suggest to use for my lap top. I would ideally like to be able to control my fans, and monitor all of my temps (ie. CPU, GPU, HDD, etc) all from one free program. My G/f's dad just installed a great fan controller program for his Dell Inspiron E1705 and it is astounding. <http://chrisnz.com/dell-fan-control/>. I would ideally like something along the lines of this. Thank you for the help.

yea i really liked that dell controller, but I was hoping that there was something slightly similar. Ive used speed fan but it only picked up my cpu and didn't allow me to control my fan speeds. So i was hoping that there was somthing like the I8kfangui.

Edit: Crap sorry the link to the I8fangui didnt show up in my first post sorry.

If it's to keep the noise level down, I've personally had a lot of success with simply reducing CPU performance to around 60% in the power management settings.
It has reduced fan noise during low to moderate load quite significantly (making the difference between fairly annoying and barely noticable), while - with a Core 2 Duo CPU - still leaving enough power for most tasks. I really only need to turn the CPU performance up to 100% during gaming and heavy graphics work.

Of course since we aren't using similar laptops, reducing CPU performance might do nothing for the noise level on your system for all I know - but if a noise reduction is what you're after, it might be worth a shot.

no im really looking for something i can use to see all of my temps at once, and have full control over my fans. I guess im a control freak, but whatever. Im so incredibly jealous of the dell program.
