As the title says, I'm looking for a newer lappy that has been successfully downgraded to 7. Probably shouldn't have said fastest, as I'm happy to know about any model from the last few years that's been successfully downgraded. Don't want this thread to get into the why's and how's, just want a list to peruse. I know there are plenty of units that claim to have downgrade rights, but I've owned enough lappies to know the manufacturers rarely test any of the claims they make. Anyway, below are the three I've found so far on these forums. Hopefully some of you can simply paste in your model number to help me out. Or suggest some other places to search(other forums?) Thanks

And the last downgradeable laptops which support Windows 7, are by and large Business Class machines.

Going forward with Kaby Lake, there will be no Windows 7 official support. I'd agree if you want a notebook with Windows 7 pre-installed, a business class notebook is the way to go.

I think the OP was referring to a laptop that came installed with windows 10 being able to run window 7. In which case, the answer is yes, in most cases. -

Unsupported nor no official support doesnt means it wont work. Obviously win 7 will work just fine on Kaby Lake CPUs. The word you're looking for is "incompatible" which means it wont work on it. Every win10 computer can easily install win 7 but the problem is the lack of drivers for that system so you're going to have a very hard time hunting down all of the drivers.

This list seems relevant:

Once CSM (legacy) support is gone from the bios, booting Windows 7 will not be possible. I think a few laptops, like the Razer Blade 2016, are already this way. -

Legacy mode is not needed to install windows 7. Windows 7 will install on a UEFI system using a boot flash drive formatted in Fat32. I have no idea where you get your information, as support has not ended in 2016 for windows 7. 2020 is EOS for windows 7.
So you should stop spreading misinformation.
