    Whats your favorite backup software?
    Two Categories

    1. Software that backs up basically your documents and everyday work. (e.g secondcopy)

    2. Software that will create a clone of your hard drive (e.g. Ghost)

I have been using Second Copy for years and see no reason to change.
Cost is right, simple operation, enough options to satisfy my needs.

I was given a copy of some type of "Ghosting" software by our outside IT company: Don't have time to understand it, don't believe (or hope)I need it.

Second Copy is very functional and straight forward. In fact, I just voted it my favorite shareware program for the year.

Acronis True Image 8.0 is by far the easiest OS backup drive imaging tool.

Ditto about Acronis,, worlds easier than Ghost in my opinion. Acronis is so straightforward, and afterwards you can check the image created, assign a drive letter to it, so you can actually view the directories, it has 4 variations on compression, etc...

Actually, unlike Ghost which requires the original installer CD to boot from, True Image makes the bootable repair CD's right from within the running program, anytime and as many as one wishes. It loads TI into RAM so that backups can then be loaded from either CD or DVD archives.
