In the left panel of Vista Explorer I had the standard Favourite Links such as Documents, Pictures, Videos and so on. but now they're gone :(

If I right-click and select "Restore Default Favorites" nothing happens. If I then select "Open Favorites Folder" then the folder shows up and I can see the links or shortcuts. I've tried tried to delete the links/shortcuts and restore them but nothing helps.

I haven't installed anything as far as I know which would delete or remove the links for good. I've installed a couple of programs and I deleted the IsShortcut entry in the Registry to remove the large shortcut arrow from the icons on my desktop.

Does anyone have a solutions on how to get the favorites links back ?

    Regards,

I figured this out. Appearently deleting the IsShortcus also removes the favorite links... I restored to Registry entry and everything works like a charm :)

To fix those big arrows, use FxVisor (AKA Vista Shortcut Overlay Remover). Google and download it. :D
