    Fax from PC to fax machine?

    How I can send fax from my PC to a usual fax machine? And how much it wil cost me?

    I am using P-4 celeron with XP, and dial up for net.

    All you should need is a phone line, and a fax capable modem- which as far as I know, pretty much all current modems are fax capable..

    so really it's a question of what type of modem do you have and what software came with it.

    I mean is there a cheeper software available? I send fax occassionallly. So i need some service where I pay only as much as I send.

    Cheaper than 'free'?

    Maybe you mis-understood - All you need is a phone line. You say you're using dial-up for the net, so you already have that. Go to Control Panel / Add Remove Programs / Windows Components and make sure you have Windows Fax Services (or something along those lines) installed. That sets up a 'printer' that you can print to from any application that sends the fax via your modem to any normal fax machine.

    It costs you as ordinary phone call to that number (longer call - more cost), only computer does dialling and "talking" for you.
