Just installed XP x64 on my notebook. After downloading and configuring Internet Explorer 7's Feeds to update itself in 15 minutes interval,i patiently waited 20 minutes but there were no new feeds. Usually the updated feeds will show up in 4 minutes, but it did not and i had to manually refresh them.
In Vista, there will be a scheduled task that handles the feeds synchronisation update, but on XP x64's task scheduler there is no such task. What should i do to re-enable the automatic updating of feeds?

Use Firefox?

. Is there any alternative RSS readers that (like IE 7) will sort the feeds by the categories, like these feeds are from ChannelNewsAsia, Notebookreview.com?

- The Sage plug-in to Firefox
- RSSOwl
I am liking the new version of RSSOwl, but be sure to set your feed default settings properly before importing or entering all your feeds!
Both have OPML import/export capabilities, too. -
(If IE6 was decent back in 1999, when it was released, IE7 is about on par for 2001, at best)
Maybe, IE8 or 9 will be worth using. Until then, please use a proper browser, and you'll be doing web developers across the world a major favor. -
I still haven't seen for myself the security problems via IE7.

I'm not talking about security problems, I'm talking about Microsoft failing to implement technologies that have been standard for 8 years. I'm talking about us poor web developers having to spend twice as much time figuring out how to make an IE-compatible version of a website, as we do on the regular version.
I'm talking about MS unnecessarily crippling and holding back the web.
I don't care what you do to your own computer, but I don't like people who inflate the IE marketshare, forcing everyone to spend vast amounts of time and resources supporting a browser that'd have been obsolete 5 years ago, if it'd existed then.
(Yes, as you might have guessed, I've had to do some web development recently, and I'm not impressed by IE) -
