I use to use the program 'Eraser' to delete files on XP, but it's not compatible with Vista. Are there any good programs out there for use with Vista?

He's talking about erasing files, not cookies and registry keys. Even though they are good programs.

Well, CCleaner has a feature that'll allow you to do a secure file deletion up to Gutmann at 35 passes. It's a feature that not a lot of people know about.

The latest file for Eraser is date Oct 2007...you would think they made the Vista plunge by now...maybe better check the readme in the download.

He's talking about the classic open source Eraser that has been out for about 6 years....I've used it too
