I have deleted files like those before; but they were left over from updating.

If you are unsure of their origin, I would recommend using a program called Crap Cleaner to identify the files.

I have CCleaner and it never deletes these files, actually they never show up in that program to be removed after i analize.
I am pretty sure their leftovers from updates because 2 of them are actually named *updates* the others are like some read only files or something.
I guess if they aren't hurting anything i could just leave them alone.

This one *ntoskrnl.exe* has me a little concerned, because it just showed up out of nowhere. I try to open it(in safe mode) and it says this program cannot be run in Win32 mode.IT'S 2.03 mb WHATEVER IT IS.

I had folders like that, and in them was something related to service pack update, and I tried running one of them and it was missing a .dll so I just deleted it and everything was fine.
