What does this have to do with SP1?

Other than the fact that it's compatible?

I don't think it's a copy of SP1. Just an automatic installation tool, like the download says...

rofl, Just as Commander Wolf said its not even close to sp1, read it, it says TOOLS FOR THE USE OF. Its only tools that can run on vista SP1 (also with other OS). Its not SP1, not even close. Don't download, read before download ppl, thats how you get virus and other useless crap, like this manufactor tool kit

The unattended installation kit is a tool the OEMs, System builders, and corporations can use to integrate and customize Vista, and to create WIM files. This has NOTHING to do with SP1, except that it's a kit that has the necessary updates to work with SP1 installations.

The OP jumped the gun and really doesn't know what's going on.

That's what Microsoft did for a long time. Vista was released two and a half months later after RTM.

MS Technet and MSDN users will be getting SP1 RTM in the next few days/weeks. Windows Server 2008 x64 RTM is already available through Technet. This is a benefit of the MS partner program.

Disregarding the SP1 stuff, would this finally allow people to customize and slipstream their Vista install disks as MS promised?
That'd be neat. Might be worth checking out for anyone who wants to integrated SP1 and drivers or other stuff on their Vista discs.

The AIK came out day one with the initial release of Vista, so this is nothing new. This is just an update to it to allow it to work with SP1. They have a whole section dedicated to deployment on their site.
