Is there a way where I can set my laptop up so that the only way to get in would be by my fingerprint, and no password?

    thanks in advance.

If you have a fingerprint sensor you should have also the driver helping to do so.

Nope I don't see anything. I have digital persona 3.0.

I'm trying to do it so that on the logon screen, the only way to log in would be by fingerprint, and no passwords.

The sensor is made by UPEK, didn't the driver come with the notebook? If not, you can dowload it from your vendor site, I guess.

Yeah, I checked the driver, there's only one thing I can do "allow the computer to turn off this device to save power."

and "allow this device to wake the computer."

    =/

Nope, you can also use it to log in. I don't personally use it but I know who does, his name is reparaqu, PM him, he will tell you how to do it, and then post it here later.

You cant.. windows will always require a character based password.

Plus if the FP scanner breaks or you somehow lose a finger, you be locked out of windows

I have a fingerprint scanner as well, made by UPEK...but my software is Protector Suite and contrary to what it says above, i do have an option to log on using ONLY the FP scanner and no windows password, or log on using both. I usually use both anyways, as has been said before, if your scanner breaks or something of that nature, you're pretty screwed of a way to login.
