    Fire Fox 3 always telling me to install FLASH?

    WTF? every site I visit, it tells me I need to install teh flash teh plugin, I install it, restart fire fox or the whole system....but still...it never remembers that I have it installed.....and keeps prompting me to install it......how to fix this?

    hmm you may need to paste the .dll in the plugin folder yourself. It's located somewhere in c:\windows\system32 :S
    It doesn't always "detect" Minefield

    Xp or Vista?

    go to the main flash site and download it on to your desktop. close all browser windows and install flash that way.

    Did you install FF3 into the same folder as FF2? Did Flash work on FF2?

    That's the way IE was behaving for me when they didn't have a 64-bit flash plug-in available yet (I run Vista 64-bit). What OS are you running? 32- or 64-bit?

    I had the same problem as you when I first installed FF3, but I solved it by installing flash directly from Adobe's site and then starting up Firefox again. It never prompted me since.

    I did but I thought that installing the plugin from within FF should suffice.....didn't know had to do that extra step
