When I browse sites FF3 starts to use a lot of my CPU. I looked the processes bar in the Windosw Task Manager and under na CPU indicator the value оf firefox.exe was 75-80 and I couldnt do anything on my notebook... I think that that is very high value... Can you tell me how can I make it use less of my CPU ?
The addons that I use are - Download StatusBar , Download helper, ForecastFox 10l, translator and some dictionaries
-
Run Firefox (Safe Mode)....
-
Disable each Add on one-by-one ..u have only 5-6 add ons so u can easily diagnose which is the bugged Add on.
-
ok I'll try this now and post back the result
-
Well I tried several times , but no luck... It happens randomly , I think it is not from the addons because I turned them all off and the problem was still there, then I started them one by one without any change in the CPU usage (it was normal) I tryed again doing the same thing but this time the problem appear with half of the addons on. What else can I do ?

Here's something to try: Install the NoScript extension. You will probably have to allow certain parts of some sites in order to work the way you want to work, but not all sites.
The reason I suggest this is because Flash and JavaScript are two of the likely culprits and NoScript blocks them both at the site level until you explicitly grant access at the site level.
NoScript is also easy to turn off or uninstall if you do not like it. -
I know about this extension but the problem is not from the Flash or TheJava because if it was because of them the CPU is going to be overloaded every time I open a site with a lot of Java and/or Flash, but the problems doesnt appear every time ... I mean that one time all is right and after a second when I open the same site the problems it there

Well, Java and JavaScript are two entirely different things, but, regardless,
Set Firefox to open a blank page (no home page). Clear History and Cache. Close Firefox. Restart Firefox. Does the CPU jump? -
Yes it does
-
turn off antivirus and see what happens
cheers... -

You have run a scan with MBAM or SAS, right?
-
About the AV program I just changed it from Avira Suite to Kaspersky Internet secure , I did a full check up and there were no problems...
@AKAJohnDoe - what does MBAM or SAS means ?
@FrankTabletuser - I did -

I would download, install, and run SAS, just for a second opinion. -
Dude, try & read my thread on 'Put your firefox on diet'
its in my signature below.
most likely, the rapid memory allocation is causing the cpu spikes. -
Hello
I used to have the same problem. I installed TuneUp Utilities and now my computer works much better, and Mozilla doesn't overflow my CPU. Maybe you should try something to improve your PC -

Yes avira is wonderful I loved it
but my registration expired and I had to change it ...
