Have they improved memory management yet ?
The 1.5x version eats ram like crazy. -
IE7 still eats a lot of memory than firefox 2.
-
running it, loving it - but strange that there was already 2 special updates within the last 2 days, i was in the middle of surfing, an ff asked to restart for the updates to take effect
any idea?
cheers ... -
I'd get it if I wasn't so set in my ways with the theme I use. I was so lost when I downloaded 2.0 and didn't have my theme installed. Anybody wanna make this theme work with 2.0 for me?
-
I found FF to be very stable; mine just does not work well with FlashPlayer, but a part from that it works great.
-
The theme and extension authors will definitely update their add-ons, but I doubt they will do so until the final edition is released.

The corners of FF 2 look a little too sharp. They should round them up, especially in window'd mode.
-
Tab Browser Preferences was an extension I used on 1.5. Nothing works on the 2.0 version.
-
I was about to bring that up too!
-
What do u mean? Updates for firefox itself? or some extensions?
-
any theme that is not compatible with version 2 will be disable unless there is updates of the theme. YOu need to report it to the author of the theme.
-
haha i just looked up at the title and I have RC3 and didn't even realize it? haha whatever, works great. haha
-
MY FF has problems with flash adds and flash in general; I hope they fixed that with the new FF. Till then I"ll use IE7
-
yep for firefox itself - has not happened after the first few days - strange
cheers ... -
Here's a handy bit of software to force your extensions/themes to work with newer versions of FF, even if the author hasn't updated them for the latest FF version:

Works fine for me

Is there any plugin or addon to make the text in Firefox 2.0 smooth like in IE7?
-
what do u mean by "smooth"? i couldn't see the difference (probably missing it somehow)
cheers ... -
The text in IE7 seems much smoother than Firefox, just like for example the rounding of the corners of the letters and such, it seems much 'softer'.
It's a bit hard to explain.
