    Hey guys.

I'm experiencing something in Firefox for a while now.
It's with any version actually (on 3.6 beta3 now).
The responsiveness of Firefox is suspended for a second or 2 and then everything resumes working.
The process keeps repeating itself every 15 seconds or so ... and quite frankly it's a bit annoying.

Anyone else experiencing a similar issue?
    I'm on Win 7 x64 Ultimate.

Disabling the add-ons would likely do the trick.
I haven't tried it though since I've had some other obligations to do.
Then again, without the add-ons, FF would be pointless since I predominantly use it with the download status bar, adblock plus and mail notifier.
    :-(

Will check it out post the results.

If you are referring to re-installing, then yes, and the issue just re-appears after a time.

    'Naix'

    I don't use Facebook.

Does this even require a response?

It's like OMG, you have girls posted on your bedroom wall?????
    Girls posted on your wallpaper??

I wonder if Jerry Jones was every asked, "Why in God's name would you have young smoking hot cheerleaders representing the Dallas Cowboys????? And then you send them on a USO mission??? "

Oh the Humanity. What a glib generation......

But seriously, I use to have this same problem. I originally had Flash installed from CS3. Then I installed Firefox and updated Flash player. I ended up uninstalling Firefox, the plugin, CS3 before it finally fixed itself.

    I hate flash player.

I'm on the exact same OS and no issues for the year or so I've been running it, with versions from Firefox 3 to 3.5.

Save time by not disabling addons as suggested but run in safe mode. There are 5 options to disable addons, revert settings etc. that you can try if safe mode runs fine.

Are you using the same profile on your different versions of Firefox?
