    Any one running Ff 3.0?

    Any major practical improvements?
I gave it a go but it disabled all my addons so I went back to 2.0

    This might help.

That's Mozilla for you, not like Microsoft that "updates" IE every 4 years or so.

Of course that's because they don't need to since we all know how secure IE is

Lol, you don't even need to be a hacker to know how to crash IE, just use it for a few hours. :D

Even though i didn't experience any problems mozilla is fixing bugs for FF 2.0 and working on the ever faster 3.0 at the same time. That's pretty amazing.

Mozilla is scaring me with all of these constant updates. I mean 2.0.0.10 came out just 4 days ago(Nov 26th). Maybe there is something wrong with the core of Firefox 2.x.

I'm quite comfortable with updates. What concerns me is when a product stagnates and does not get updates. Like the core of IE, still stuck in 2002.

That's way open source stuff tends to work. It's just that issues get addressed faster and with more diligence than you're used to, perhaps. But count your blessings. I'd rather have 4-day updates than 4 months or years as some software developers do.

That's funny because MS rarely updates the core of ANYTHING.

Let's not bash MS guys. :)
I'm comfortable with the updates even though FF has never crashed on me. I don't think theres anything wrong at all, so lets not get paranoid

I was being satirical ;) There's nothing to worry about anyway if you know what you are doing ;) I put FF (along with a couple of other programs) on my brother's desktop to try to protect him from himself. :D The single biggest risk is the operator.

Well, at least they did end up updating IE to version 7. If not we could have moved on to better *ahem* browsers ;).

I also am pretty comfortable with the regular release of updates...that means they are on top of things and don't let security issues slide for a long time, unlike some other browers [cough] IE [cough]

Time will tell if IE7 is safer than Firefox, but in any case IE7 is still safe to use.

    and

"A bug in just released Firefox 2.0.0.10 affecting an important <canvas> HTML element interface (.drawImage) has prompted Mozilla developers to rush a new update that fixes this bug that affects several web sites and extensions (FoxSaver, Fotofox) that rely on it to deliver the intended experience to their users."

Yes but if you want to venture out onto sites you see on google FF will help you, especially if you have it with safety extensions installed.

Yep, along with McAfee siteadvisor, and WOT. Sometimes the extension that lets you see the pages before you click them (i forgot it's name) can help.

Kinda but not it. It's on the recommended addons page but it's not showing up for me.
