That's it! Thanks, blackmamba! It would have taken me quite awhile to use "problematic" as a synonym on my searches!

I don't use most on that link, but AdBlock Pro never gave me any problems nor did I notice mem increase. I been using it for about 3 days now. Crossing Fingers.

Be sure to check the release numbers of both the add-on and of Firefox itself when looking at those add-ons on that link. Many of them have been resolved if you are current.

I would probably just accept that, or, if not acceptable, uninstall, delete all the profiles, reinstall, reconfigure, and reevaluate.

want to try these 2 also?
    - browser.sessionhistory.max_total_viewers: set this to 0 (no page stored in memory)
    - config.trim_on_minimize : set this to true (let windows reclaim when ff is being minimized)

    cheers ...

Okay, I did the first one. The second one doesn't show up in the list. I cleared the cache on Tuesday when I did my scans.
    It's down to 90000 now.

Be careful with the second one Blondie. If forces FF to dump ram so if you use it too many times it'll become unresponsive, or freeze up. though it's never happened to me just be careful.

Tried installing this yesterday on my 64Bit. Bad news. I first mentioned that it kept hanging in that it never completed the download (the little circle around the arrow). later I noticed that it kept freezing and slowing at times. Uninstalled...same problem. I had to actually go into the Reg file and delete all Mozillas to get it back to normal again. Hope a 64Bit comes out soon.

    Its fast. I like it.
