I updated Firefox from v19. I was having problems with the website set up by Minnesota for health insurance (MNsure). I assumed getting up-to-date would alleviate the browser problem I was experiencing. After installing v26, it still didn't work and then I discovered MNsure is recommending v17, v22, or v24. I thought I found a v24 download directly from Mozilla, but it was actually v26. Is there a safe place where I can download Firefox v24?

If you are comfortable with the warning here Install an older version of Firefox | Firefox Help click on the link and you can grab what you need.

This seem to be the English version (24) https://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/firefox/releases/24.0/win32/en-US/knight427 likes this. -

Thanks to both of you. I went with the download directly from Mozilla and am now on v24. Of course now the website is "closed" (yes, that's right, the virtual marketplace to shop for health insurance has specific hours of operation) so I'll have to wait until morning to see if it is fixed the problem (I give it a 10% chance).

I would try IE or Chrome. I have to use all three to get best compatibility between websites including work, bank, etc. It sucks but the reality these days.

Remember that latest version was the last time they tested of which we have no idea when they last tested it. Alot of other factors play here like Flash plugin or Silverlight or shockwave or Java so some site will requires plugins just besides the browser to function properly. So just cause they said FF24 that probably was tested when it first came out and you know how long that has been......since FF26 is out now. You can always download and install FF26 and see if that works. So besides just your browser you will need plugins to make some sites function they was it was program so sometimes it's not the fault of the browser itself. -
I have found that some websites just do NOT work with FireFox. In those cases, just use Internet Explorer. Banks are especially prone to this problem because of the specialized security coding they use.

I mentioned this before not all websites use the same codes some are written for IE and some will work in either IE/FF and some just have limitations and will tell you on their site this is best view with IE or FF. That the nature of the internet some are written for IE and some for IE/FF. I see some banks where IE doesn't work well so to your last statement the reverse also happens. -
Ditto, and I agree, it's annoying.

That is hard to determine unless there is a reliable independent test to show it as such. So where are you basing your information from???
