    Hi all,

I have been using Firefox for who knows when, and when the Firefox 3 Release Candidates came out, I quickly jumped on them because I had grown extremely fond of the browser. However, I ran into two problems - some of my add-ons would not work (which wasn't that big of a deal), and my password bank in Protector Suite QL wasn't supported (which was a big deal for me). So, I reverted back to version 2 in hopes that the final release of FF3 would bring along a patch that would fix that.

However, after some digging, I have yet to find FF3 support for Protector Suite QL (version 5.6 on my Sony Vaio SZ), and I was wondering if anyone else has had better luck, know of a workaround, or know if anything is in the works. Thanks a lot, and happy browsing!

    Regards,
    Snoopster J

That's great, alexzeon, I'm in the process of trying version 5.8 to see if that makes a difference. Please keep us updated :D

Edit: I installed Protector Suite version 5.8.2 build 4367, but when it takes me to the Password Bank installation page, it reads:
    ---------------------
Please click on apropriate extension package to install Password Bank support for your Firefox browser.
    Firefox 1.0 - 1.1

    Firefox 1.5 - 2

To install support for Firefox please set Firefox as your default browser and retry the operation.

There is no Password Bank extension compatible with your version of Firefox.
    ---------------------
I also sent UPEK technical support an e-mail, and am in the process of waiting. Let's hope it'll be soon! :)

That's the reason I dont use FF! Too many patches and extensions to get a freakin' browser functioning right. and it offers nothing but a new look and an illusion that it's faster than IE!

    IE + compatibility FTW

Hey guys can any of you repost the needed firefox extension as i'm not able to download it (neither of the two links work for me) - in worst case would any of you be able to send it to me via email? I've already upgraded my UPEK software to the 5.8.2 version but it still needs an extension to work with firefox 3.

    Thanks alot!

Thanks Matt, repped. A good person provides the solution towards others questions instead of saying BS like "That's why I stick to IE~"

I am very tempted to download one of these files but caution makes me want to get it from the source - Dell or Upek. When downloading from third party sites I don't see how I can be sure it hasn't been modded, perhaps with malware (no offence intended). I suppose I'll have to wait

    (Come on Dell!)

I could imagine that, and what if you compare the md5sum against that of others who downloaded it from UPEK?

I can assure you it 100 % legit. I personally uploaded it by request.

It has been downloaded 793 times so far and not one person has complained on this or other forums

I'm from Chile and I speak spanish, so I'll try write a good english XD

Yesterday I was in Google searching for any solution to the problem discussed here and then arrived to this page, and my question is if Windows XP support Protector Suite QL 5.8.2, because I have Vista now but I want to change it the next week,

Can anyone of you help me please?

Edit: the last post is so older XD
