    Download link from Mozilla.

    The page you see when you first start it shows a beta, which only means that I'm fast :).

    Stop making stupid comment about being a beta and such. Keep them to yourself. I never post a beta without letting people know it is a beta. This one is not. I am a very intelligent person (sort of... :D) and don't wait for Mozilla to release anything. There are other sites that post it earlier (such as BetaNews). I've got the link earlier. It makes sense (doesn't it?). Stop mentioning the word beta.

    READ AND REMEMBER: IT IS NOT A BETA. IT IS NOT A BETA. IT IS NOT A BETA.

    NoScript, AdBlock Plus and CustomizeGoogle and Foxmarks work for me. That's all I have installed until now.
    It seems to fix a font issue I was having (increased font size appearing where it shouldn't).
    I think I also had that add-on install issue (I got an error once), but never happened again since (even with the previous version).

    Thanks for the info. I specifically was wondering about AdBlock Plus. I'll give 3.0.1 a whirl.

    Download the dev-build from the signature of the first post, and it will work perfectly fine in FF3. I have been using it since the day FF3 was officially released.

    3.0.1 wouldn't let me install the dev build. Perhaps there's some other installation method required?

    here you have the working version of tab mix plus. Just rename it.
    Additionally, you don't have to d/l the 3.0.1 version, it will be automatically updated by FF.

    Enjoy.

    FWIW, some people on another forum are complaining that 3.01 is even less stable than 3.0.

    Its stable for me. Check all your add-ons are compatible. They are what usually causes the problems.

    I run mine bare and havent across any problems, even when FF3 was still in beta

    Both 3.0 and 3.0.1 are very stable to me in both XP and Vista, never crashed even once. I think the problem is maybe some people didn't uninstall FF2 properly or there are some unstable add-ons that they added.

    i like this new firefox update, which is not a beta at all. I like it because it solve some issue as far as stability is concerned. as a matter of fact before the update firefox kept crashing randomly. now everything looks fine!!!

    Firefox 3.0.1 fixed several issues found in Firefox 3.

    * Fixed several security issues.
    * Fixed several stability issues.
    * Fixed an issue where the phishing and malware database did not update on first launch.
    * Under certain circumstances, Firefox 3.0 did not properly save the SSL certificate exceptions list.
    * Updated the internal Public Suffix list.
    * In certain cases, installing Firefox 2 in the same directory in which Firefox 3 has been installed resulted in Firefox 2 being unstable. This issue was fixed as part of Firefox 2.0.0.15.
    * Fixed an issue where, when printing a selected region of content from the middle of a page, some of the output was missing (bug 433373).
    * Fixed a Linux issues where, for users on a PPP connection (dialup or DSL) Firefox always started in "Offline" mode (bug 424626).

    I have had FireFox 3.0.1 installed since the 16th without any issues.

    I uninstalled the TabMixPlus extension. I realize there are a lot of features built into that extension, but none that I am really missing yet. I do have to ctrl/click for links to open in new tabs now.

    If you uninstalled tab mix plus because it says its not compatable goto ff's addon site and download the version for ff3 which now works with 3.0.1. happy days. :)

    Nope, not the only reason. I grew weary of waiting for it to get officially released; do not like runnning pre-production for extended time periods.

    Also, I am on a roll of reducing the install base on my PC overall. If I do not use it, or can do it another way just as easy, it is getting uninstalled.

    By "uninstall properly" what do you mean? Of the three which would you suggest, add/remove, revo, or ccleaner?

    Edit: OK I looked. According to Mozilla it says to just install over FF2. I'm ready to upgrade, but will hold off until I get a few ideas on the best way.

    After downloading FF3 I uninstalled FF2 via add/remove. Everything looks good. All my extensions installed or were upgraded except for the Noia theme which is fine.
