I am having trouble using Firefox v3.0.1. When I go to deviantart.com, Firefox always gives me an error and then closes. It doesn't give me the error initially (home page), only when I start clicking on links. Anyone know what's up?

When I go to Customization --> Wallpapers --> and then just browse around. It doesn't do it all the time, really random.

Here is the error signature that firefox reported to me:

    AppName: firefox.exe AppVer: 1.9.0.3105 ModName: msvcr80.dll
    ModVer: 8.0.50727.762 Offset: 0004ef67

No, but my favorite browser has been giving me problems of various sorts (depending on OS) for the last couple of months. While waiting for the issues to be sorted out, I keep Opera available for those times that FF acts up.

Are you using any buggy addons? Run Firefox in safe mode from the Start menu and see if it fixes your DeviantArt problem.

If it does, it's a buggy addon.

I just clicked around that site for 20 mins, and even downloaded and few desktop backgrounds, no problems. I have FF 3.0.1..

I did have a similar problem with firefox 2, on my desktop pc, when browsing deviant art, and If I enlarged any wallpaper image from firefox, which was too big for my screen resolution, then firefox crashed, never found out the reason, but at least you know your not alone (spooky).

I saw a few posts about this online. If you are using AVG, try disabling the Search Shield and see if that helps.
